My Mother's Silver

br> I was very curious to try painting silverware, something that is almost colorless... almost a tonal study, this is one of my experiments, to see how it works out. I want to paint more... I always liked the John Singer Sargent paintings of a table setting with silver...

This was my mother's silverware... young women were "picking their silver patterns" in the 50s, these were her choice... a time of hopes and dreams maybe...
